Biography
Leonard Laborie is a Research Fellow at the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS), UMR Sirice 8138 (Paris, France). His main research interests are the co-production of technology and Europe since the 19th C, and the history of science and innovation diplomacy. Both leads him to work on international (said "technical") organisations, in particular the International Telegraph (later Telecommunication) Union and the Universal Postal Union. Recently he co-led a French-German project on international organisations dealing with transnational infrastructures during the Second World War in continental Europe. Léonard Laborie is a member of the editorial board of the Digital Encyclopedia of European History.
