Philippe Forêt

Biography

Published in four languages, my agenda on the geography of colonial Asia, climate research, the mobility of knowledge, and the transition from innovation to sustainability has received awards from eleven different countries. The Institutes for Advanced Study of Uppsala, Nantes, and Bristol have elected me Fellow. I have been since 2017 a member of the Society of Fellows of the Rachel Carson Center at Ludwig-Maximilians University, in Munich. I went to the University of California at Berkeley for postdoctoral training, earned a PhD at the University of Chicago, and used to be a graduate student at Peking University.
