Ivetta Gerasimchuk

Biography

As Research Officer, Ivetta Gerasimchuk supports IISD’s Geneva-based Global Subsidies Initiative. Her research interests include fossil fuel subsidies reform, economics of climate change, and environmental footprint of international investment flows with a focus on emerging market economies. Before joining IISD, she conducted policy-oriented research and project work as senior advisor and head of the trade and investment program for WWF-Russia and leading research fellow at the Institute for Natural Resource Economics and Environmental Policy of the Higher School of Economics in Moscow as well as research associate at a number of other organisations in Russia and abroad.

 
Education

  • PhD in Economics (2006): Moscow State Institute of International Relations.
  • Master of Management (2003): School of International Business Administration, Moscow State Institute of International Relations.
  • Bachelor of International Relations (2001):  Moscow State Institute of International Relations.  

 
Languages

Russian, English, proficiency in German and Afrikaans, intermediary French.
