Biography
As Research Officer, Ivetta Gerasimchuk supports IISD’s Geneva-based Global Subsidies Initiative. Her research interests include fossil fuel subsidies reform, economics of climate change, and environmental footprint of international investment flows with a focus on emerging market economies. Before joining IISD, she conducted policy-oriented research and project work as senior advisor and head of the trade and investment program for WWF-Russia and leading research fellow at the Institute for Natural Resource Economics and Environmental Policy of the Higher School of Economics in Moscow as well as research associate at a number of other organisations in Russia and abroad.
