Biography

Marie Huber holds a Ph.D. in history from the Humboldt Universität zu Berlin. In her Ph.D. project, she investigated UNESCO's cultural development-aid for nation-building in Ethiopia during the 1960s and 1970s. She is currently a a postdoctoral fellow at the Institute for History at the Humboldt Universität and the Principal Investigator of a research project on aviation in postcolonial Africa. This project is the initial phase of a larger comparative study on a global history of state enterprises in developing countries after 1950.
